It was a late arrival ... Great 2 hr session at Locust starting at 2pm. Slightly gusty S 18-25+ gusting 30. 10m kite + surfboard was just right - occasionally overpowered. Chop cleaned up later into the afternoon with some nice 2' waves and some gorgeous sunny breaks. Scored another foot switch (from toeside switch stance). Enjoyed by Angus/Slappy, Martin, Ian and Dave/C36 (our lone wolf windsurfer). Only 4 other local kiters so once again the Canadians out numbered our American friends ... Go Seahawks Go!

I really didn't think this one was going to happen. It did and I was the 'last of the unicorns' amongst the kites at the late afternoon Locust session. Steady wind, rays of sun, knee high chop (with some larger ramps) in chest-deep water, jumps both ways, and sailing with no gloves - all good. Nice to get out. :D Sorry I didn't realize Slappy was there - what kite were you on?

No worries David. I was on my usual 10m Trigger, wearing my usual dorky red jacket + blue shorts.

I didn't make that epic shot of all the kites as I was way up past the cement factory when you arrived hunting for waves.

You have caught me and/or my kite here though:

Had a great session today, especially once I switched to my TT. I haven't done much boosting since Squamish shut down but I always love the boosting setup at Locust. Had some real nice flights today :D

Any luck finding any waves up there? I made it up as far as the base of the pier and the roll was modest (maybe waist high set waves). I also took a look for the 'ship wreck' (as there seemed to a sweet spot just to the south and west last time I was out there), but it appears to have disappeared.  :?

That photographer does some nice work! ;)

red jacket: good to know. I saw you boost a few nice airs and was enjoying some of the ramps as well - especially to starboard! Fun spot for sure. :D :D :D

I got one really nice wave. Aside from that nothing to write home about.
