TJ's Zoom looks promising for Saturday. Tide is good for kiting after 11am. Maybe I'll try to windsurf Locust Sat morning if it's 20 knots or better.

Going on spec. Enjoying a 24oz latte and WiFi at Woods Coffee exit 270.

Locust only SSE 16 at 7:30am but TJ forecasts wind to pick up by 11am when tide is good for launching a kite.

Have fun, I am going to stick near home. I think Crescent will be good around the same time & no border. I gotta get NEXUS.

WR bay is currently 4ish Kts, but there are some small waves coming in.

Jeff - My biggest kite is 10m. If you don't mind posting an OSR or calling it into 604-800-2770, I can make to back to Crescent Beach pretty quickly.

No problem, But if it does not go off at Locust, I doubt it will at Crescent.

Late last spring/Summer I found that when TJ shows as below, the wind "dink" bypasses WR & third, but hits Crescent with the force of the "shaft". Probably would hit 72nd the same, but I never knew or rode there until this NOV. I am not sure if because it was spring/summer if the farmland was adding a bit of thermal, but it would work on cloudy days too.

Other forecasts arn't so optimistic, and if it turns SE rather than SSE it will be too shadowed near shore to get out.

But... if TJ is correct, I think it will be good, this rain needs to stop first though.

Fingers crossed.

Either way, I will check it out and let you now.

Nothing on the BB webcam, nothing here in white rock. Still some waves coming in though, there has to be wind somewhere. I am going to head over and check out Crescent in a bit.

There was a gap in the rain so I headed over, it was a sucker hole. Rain & clouds are back on the deck. Wind was 6g11 ish . If tide was lower I would have suited up, but it is still about waist-chest deep. I am going to wait an hour or so and check again.

Still have some hope... but if it happens its gonna be big kite.
