Michael, you've got a turf dog, right?? I think I'm gonna drill some holes on the front of my longboard to mount the mast base this weekend. This could be a good way to work on some new moves during the End of Days!

I'm trying to think of some parking lots with the best exposure to certain winds, as my longboard will need smooth surfacing (unlike the turfdog)...

MANY years ago (when I was just out of high school almost 30 years ago circa 1986), I had a shorboard mounted with a base (see picture) that I used to ride over 100 miles to school in 3' of snow!!! OK, ignore that last part. :P It was great for practicing in light wind and when I couldn't get to the water. I leaned how to duck-gybe on my wind-skate.

Note no pads or helmet in the pictures.  Then I heard of a pro-windsurfer who was killed riding one in Europe. I never enjoyed riding it much after that. :? Make sure you wear a helmet there young fella! ;)

 Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. Seriously, check out the parking lots at Spanish Banks, Lulu Island (YVR) or check out some of the big box retail stores/ movie theatres in Richmond.

I have a Skateboard with mast base installed, let me know if you find any new secret spots. I used to always go around science world, I'm pretty sure all the parking lots are gone now. The parking lot down by the planetarium and boat launch used to work pretty good too.

This looks like allot more fun though :P

Epic photos, Dave! And yeah, Europeans never wear helmets

Nice! There's a secret spot at UBC that has glassy shoulder to logo-high waves 365 days a year ;)

Flakas and Spocks look so easy on the snow... this Guy Trudeau fellow has some gold on his YouTube channel. In case you need a DIY project while your finger heals, you could revamp your car to his fashion. It's even got little cubbies for storing binoculars and other birdwatching equipment.
