Point Roberts Sat Nov 2

Arrived 2pm at Point Roberts only to catch declining wind.

Fortunately Dave/C36 scored a 3.6/4.0 session and Chuck scored a 4.6 session.

Michael finally managed to get out on 4.2 and scored a wave ride. Ryan (late arrival) managed to punch out of KILLER onshore break in almost no wind - incredible!!! Maybe C36 has pictures of the break.

Unfortunately, I damaged the bottom of my JP 93 in rocky rip current. On the bright side, I'm overdue for a nose repair and next week's forecast doesn't look good anyway.

Wish we had skipped Acadia and headed directly to Point Roberts - WNW 30-40 from 10am to 2pm.

Oh well, happy to see everyone at Acadia this morning (Nick, Johnny, Mike, Tony, Don, Craig, Maryam, Ryan, Jen, Richi, Brian C, Francois, Joost, Brandon, Adrian, Randy, AJ, Gabe, Kato, Marty ... many, many more). Glad Bryan and Lubo scored a session at Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.

Thanks to Nick for his Acadia OSR and congrats on a well deserved Acadia session - maybe the only one.

I actually had fun shlogging around at Acadia, in a masochistic way. The gusts were just enough to get going and catch the occasional ride. Another couple of knots and it would've been a great session.

I wish you guys had of done that as well, felt really nervous about sailing there alone.
It was epic until about noon and I should of rigged bigger as Dave and I felt the wind coming down but headed out anyways. Just didn't have enough to get out through the break so had to come back and re rig. Then finally got out and it died, the one wave ride in was enough to make me go back though. Felt like our first trip to Whidbey.

I almost forgot how much I loved windsurfing and also forgot how much I hated being skunked!

Any word if things went off on the island? So many people were talking about going to Jordan River, did they make the right call by staying or was it a double skunk? I had a nice 1 hour session on a sup at kiter beach at spanish banks. I'll consider it a half skunk today.

I guess things didn't start until around 3 but it looks like they had an epic few hours.
