one of the best days at acadia in a long time, wind filled in all the way, nice swells. 4.5 fully powered, almost too much at times

Humbling session on 5m+surfboard at Spanish Bank. W 20-30. Underpowered in the lulls, overpowered in the gust which felt well over 30. Mike went up to Acadia and Dog Beach on his new 7m Duotone Neo. Sean on 10m+TT. I stayed below Spanish Banks riding with Ted who was holding down his 10m+surfboard  In retrospect maybe my 8m would have been the better choice but still enjoyed jybing head high waves on a small kite. Good to see Francis and Don winging down at Tolmie.

Like Alton said, tried my new Neo today. I was wondering if it was just so much more powerful and responsive as lots of time just kiting carefully so nothing bad happens. However, as per wind graph (mph) the stuff in the 40's was way too much. I'm full on with a 7M in the mid 30s (on the red line). Having said this, got some super nice wave action by dog beach. It was nice in later part of my session as wind eased. As advertised, new kite turns on a dime and drifts. No regrets but probably would have been better on the windsurf gear today.

I opted to stay on the N Shore today, at Cates Park practicing my windfoiling. First session started with perfect 4.5 conditions but dropped after 20 minutes. That wasn’t enough for all the effort, so I hung around in hope of a comeback…which it did!!
Igor and I headed out at about 1 pm and had an excellent hour+ before it got too strong. When I came back in Rob M and others were heading out on their racefoil gear with 6m sails, confirming that the wind was kickin’.
Really fun afternoon in strong wind and 12c sun. I think 10-12c is my foiling temperature threshold until I am better (ie stay drier)! Off to Baja soon to spoil myself. :)

Actually it was a 9m Session wave kite lol! That being said it was way too much kite for the conditions. A 7m-8m would have been ideal as I prefer being overpowered.

Today was the first time I got to experience proper waves in the lower mainland. Great times doing the work up wind and catching some nice breaking waves closer to the shore. I did that for a few hours and then caught a log (just below surface) while trying to bottom turn..........the fins were saved but the board rail paid a heavy price.

Ah well, the day was great! :D

The wind and waves at Acadia forced me out, but I installed one of my thruster fins backwards. Made an awesome day difficult and not joyful. It sucked to be me!!! Goya 85L and 4.0 sail that was overpowered at times. Ended up downwind and a shameful walk lol.

Plus a moto ride to Lions Bay for coffee. A trifecta! :D

Hope your day got better also, we suffered variously.
