Epic day at CB Rigged 3.1 m and 75 L quad board. Big swells A handful of windsurfers and a single kiter

Cold wind at 8 Celsius and my dishwashing gloves worked pretty good to keep my hands warm but it’s very sticky to the boom.

Winter has arrived! I'd like to say that was fun but it wasn't. I learnt a valuable lesson today, 30 knots is too much wind for a 5.0 wing! Actually had too much wing, too much foil, and too much board. Got my ass seriously kicked in surprising cold easterly wind. I finally figured out the best way to ride the waves in those conditions but by then I was exhausted and humiliated.

Pleasantly surprised how TAF called it for 3pm. Lit on 8m+surfboard with Francis and 3 other kiters for over 2 hrs in SE 22-25 gusting 30. Waves were disorganized so had to hunt for the clean ones - perfect waist high breakers for plenty of sweet wave rides.

Only 7°C but toasty warm in my new Bueller 5/4/3 wetsuit. Great way to start the week

Very choppy, disorganized and freezing. Had my last session in mind so didn't worry about booties, gloves or hood but I guess winter have arrived since then... brrr
