TAF isn’t often wrong, but they ‘over’ forecast yesterday and are the ‘under’ outlier today. I sure hope they are wrong today.

Looks like they've sorted things out.

Centennial Beach OSR. 30 knots. Cloudy. Decent swell. Around 20 windsurfers calling in sick today. Come on out!

Yep, Gale arrived.

Started with 4.5 / 86L at high tide with chop and the odd nice wave if you looked hard. Later switch to 3.7 / 74L and much improved waves. At times was it the edge of my "wind window." Iwindsurf had gusts a bit over 40 for a short while so that was probably it. Left good wind/waves as tired and wanted to end on a win. Nice to see so many windsurfers.

That worked out well. Got a warm-up session on 4.5 around 10 am, then a maxed-out 4.0/80 litre session until lunch. Called it a day when I couldn’t flatten the 4.0 any more to make it manageable, but came in tired and happy!

Went on the water around 11:30am and boy it was windy! with gustsup to 40 knots. Set up was 3.7/80l. Had trouble controlling my rig in the huge gusts. Was also completely out of shape having not sailed since september. Sailed for barely 1 hour and felt too cold.I need more sessions but with a bit less wind like 25 knots would be just fine.I will also need to purchase warmer booties definitely. Does anybody know if it's even possible to get some in Vancouver?
Possibly on the North Shore Ski and Board store? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
