Looks like a light wind day at 3rd, BB airport is already reading 14 G18kts so I may head out for a cold dawn patrol.

Looks interesting. Forecast is a bit odd but maybe workable wind in our area. Keeping an eye out and thinking maybe mid morning. I think it was Adam that mentioned really high tides recently (thank-you). So maybe a first Centennial Foil session?

Kite or windsurf foil Mike, where are you going to launch? 4.5m tide should be good.

I'm grateful for work but timing has been bad for me this fall. Either the wind has been on weekdays or I've been busy doing report cards :(
Have a good day out there!

Scored 2 hrs solo in the morning on 9m+surfboard in steady SSE 18-20. Fun little waves upwind by the boat launch.

Double session. Morning was 4.5 on windfoil. Bonus and unexpected afternoon 5.3/86L session. Had to go WAY out (afternoon) then there were nice waves to be found. Speed run/flatish on inside. Sailed to fatigue.

Thought it was done at 11am so I packed up, changed, checked messages and ate lunch. Saw the sensor rebound to SSE 20 at noon so headed back and slipped on my wet wetsuit - OUCH ... it felt like taking a cold shower!

Score another 2 hrs in the afternoon session again on 9m+surfboard but this time in stronger SSE 20-25. Waves were slightly disorganized but plenty of nice waist high smoothies were easy to find. Beated up to the mile marker then enjoyed a chain of downwind wave rides back to 3rd Avenue. Pretty sweet to ride under sunny sky.

Great way to end the week with 4 hrs on the water.

Joined Mike for a foil and then switched to the 5.2/102L and got in some windsurfing. Much better foiling day than my session a few weeks ago. Higher tide and lighter winds made it much easier and I managed better in the waves. Actually made 2 jibes, one I came off the foil in the exit but the first one I managed to porpoise through, finally! Like Mike said, sailed to fatigue. Doing the double session was hard, I was exhausted when I got home.
