Fun session all by myself at Spanish banks from 630 to 830. Very light at the beach and puffy outside 15-25+. Went all the way up to tower beach looking for waves but the best on this tide were just west of dog beach. My new to me 2013 Naish Park 10 I picked up for $400 was perfect. Stoked to get back into kiting a little bit more hopefully now that I have a medium to light wind kite.

Solid morning at Acadia from 8:30am until about noon, then it got holey. Rigged my 5.3 and took out the 101L FSW which was a little too much at times but with some tweaking it was manageable. With the extra power, headed upwind and sailed off WB for about 2 hours, then headed back down to Acadia. Found some nice waves along the way but there was a ton of debris in the water. The last 40 mins got really holey so I called it a day. Good to see a few familiar faces as it has been a while.

Few. Got a few rides in on 4.5/92 then came in for bigger gear, but wind shifted south and dropped again. Milked it for a while with some short rides as a reward. As Richi said, “That wind has a bad attitude.” On the plus side there the s water was warm water, bare feet at first (then 2 mm boots to protect the feet from the barnacles), and sun.

Similar wind conditions at Locarno, though choppier of course. Huge turnout of windsurfers, kiters, and all styles of foilers at Locarno this morning made for a great scene on the beach and water.
Wind was pure west (which made it gusty and holey near shore) until about 1230 then it shifted WSW and tanked at about 1 pm.
I had a fun workout from about 1030-12 on 5.0/110 FSW. The big board was helpful in the holes but a handful outbound in the chop. The payoff was sailing inbound in the big swell out by the freighters; a bit disorganized (as always at Locarno) but still lots of fun to jibe and play on.
Came in for lunch expecting a second session but only a few foilers (like Francis) were able to make anything out of the light afternoon WSW wind.
As usual when the wind shifts a bit south, Locarno becomes unsailable but it looks better at the foot of Denman St. I always wonder about launching from 2nd Beach in those conditions???

Good day yesterday with some learning. Went to launch by Jericho thinking to try windfoil there before wind picked up. Arrived to no wind near shore but looked like lots further out. Wind came in and was bound and determined to try windfoil. 4.5 sail, 76 infinity wing and 125l Wizard was too much for me (only a few sessions in before this). Short spaced waves were foil mast height (90cm) and strong wind (20+?) made me unable to properly control the board. Came in and started to disassemble when wind dropped (near shore for sure)... Or did it further out?... Decided to use the right tool for the job so headed to Acadia to standard windsurf on 4.5 and 86L. Solid for part one with some nice waves to play on but also lots of chop. Got greedy on waves so eventually downwind. Decided to land and walk back to wreck beach launch. Part two started well with nice waves but holey wind soon had me mix of runs and shlog then downwind. Really can't complain but best call was Daryl on bigger gear (at least for part 2) with better upwind power.

Great day for me, launched from West Consession at 11:30 and got 5:40 on the water in winds ranging from 25 knots at the start to 15 knots later on.

Lots of good waves to be had at Dog Beach earlier, then up near Acadia and finally at Tower Beach once the tide came down.

Madness of people trying to launch kites on the grass at Acadia and then failing that walking them down over the barnacle boulders and trying to launch down there. Glad nobody got hurt.

GoPro battery died about half way through the marathon session.
