If you were up for an apres-supper session then today would have been okay. Best wind seems to have been from 7pm on, but it was beer and supper time for us.

Nexan is open this weekend, currently gusting around 15 knots on my wind meter.

Departure day bonus. Got lucky with some morning wind today and had a fun hour on the water from 9-10 am before packing up at the campground. Followed that with a great 2 hour mountain bike ride at Coutlee Plateau near Merritt: fun trails and beautiful flowers! Gotta love a 2-sport day.
Just heard from our friends that the wind was good at Nicola this afternoon too.

A good day to slacking off at the spit. Thanks to Covid19 a lot of us can work from home.

Yet another epic day. Condolences to those who missed it. Thought I would arrive at 11:30 early to beat the crowds but had to park halfway down the spit ... guess everyone had the same idea.

Steady SW 20-25 on 9m+surfboard. Butter smooth in river. Nicely formed wavelets down in Nexen. Wiped out after 3 hours of fun in the sun.

Yes, it was my best day at Squamish so far this year (not so hard when you’ve only had three!). Solid and steady wind out of Nexen all afternoon. Bonus was that my wife and daughter got out for good windsurfing sessions too!

What a day out there! Swell coming out of the river was bananas all the way across the bay. Never seen such a long wave train, pretty wild trying to ride it
