Nexen light. Ethan launched off the beach revealed by the low tide. Just enough wind for us both to move around (most of the time). Some match racing, but wind was gusty and shifty enough to keep us in the bay and couldn`t make it up as far as the river today. Still fun outing and especially nice that the sun pocked out just as we took to the water!

Caught the 1 hr today on 12m+surfboard. Very marginal SW 15-18. Had to stay in the river for every last knot I could get.

Fun sunny day (over 2hrs) in steady SW 18-22 on 9m. First boosting on TT then hitting swell toeside on surfboard. Best of all uncrowded ... no line ups

Yet another great day with over 2 hrs TOW. Started with 9m+surfboard in SW 18 - just enough to squeeze into the river and enjoy the nicely formed swell. Switched to twin tip when it ramped up to SW 24.

Nice 2hr session. Slow start but had to quickly switch from 12m to 9m ... then surfboard to twin tip. Eventually got busy like a weekend.

Nice day (over 2.5 hrs) in steady SW 20-25 on 9m+surfboard. Fun until it got gusty at 4pm.

Pinching out every last Squamish session before the Spit road closes. Scored a sunny 2 hrs (11am-1pm) in SW 18-20 on 9m+surfboard in the river. Called it quits (after the second major lull) while I was ahead ... and beat the weekend traffic home.

Pinched out the last day at the Spit. Mowed the lawn for 2 hrs on 12m+surfboard in SW 16-20 then quit out of boredom. Nice to end a season at the Spit with some anti-climatic closure.

First Nexen session of the year. Tried heading out when tide was still low but my 9m kite fell out of the sky 6 times. Decided to self-rescue ... too scared of kite falling out of the sky while returning to the parking lot.

The wind returned at 3pm and so did my self-respect. Slightly overpowered on 9m+surfboard in steady SW 24-28. Waist to chest high swell was super clean and smoooooth - perfect for toeside rides.

Oddly, saw 8 wing foilers out numbering kiters.

2nd Nexen session. Even better than yesterday. Over 2.5 hrs lit on 9m+surfboard in steady SW 24-28. Waist high swell at Nexen for fun, fun, fun toeside rides. Oddly the wind felt slightly weaker at the Spit.
