Scored a solid hour on 12m + surfboard at Spanish Bank in steady W 18-22 with knee high waves. Late to the party as Mike (windsurfing at Acadia), Jan and Mark were already on the water.

I was trying to talk myself out of kiting but MIke's OSR and Sam pumping and launching my kite got me out. Many thanks guys!

Light wind, Surf foil, pocket board, 10m Alpha and sunshine are like peas and carrots.

Lovin’ the new setup.

Why is everyone setting up down at Tolmie?

Oh I guess cause the change room is out of order up here.

I went there cuz everyone was there. Got steady 1 hour quad workout with surfboard and 8m kite. Tolmie seems like no wind shadow unlike SB

Got 1-2 hours at Jericho. Lubo was on a 7.0 and I was fully powered on a 5.5 with my 115. Very nice day.

Solo session at Acadia early. Forecast yesterday was not great so didn't think today would be on the water. However improved metar/tag got me out. After an hour wind dropped so walked back from dog beach. Went out again and was good for a bit then dropped again. Really hard to read the wind on the water from shore and the sensors seem like a guide at best.

I think Tolmie is a better launch than West concession stand; less of those rocks that jut out from the beach into the water. Last time at west concession there were a few logs washed up In between the rocks making launch a bit sketchy with the obstacles. Most importantly less wind shadow off the beach compared to west concession. You lose out on the change room but a good robe can solve that.

I only ever launch at Tolmie on easterlies, and it's great for them.

I do ride down to Tolmie quite often to hunt for waves when the tide is high and on westerlies the wind is almost always light and crappy in the wave section (about 100m from shore) there.

I think there is more room to launch at 2nd concession though, even with the volleyball posts down wind. And most of the time I end up going upwind from there so Tolmie mean even more upwind work.

I had a nice 2:15 on the water after a 2 moth dry spell. Nice to get out in the sunshine!
