Boundary Bay delivered as advertised. Took the dawn patrol shift with Jeff (tweegster first on the water) and Mike. Two awesome hours (8-10am) on 9m+surfboard in up/down SSE 20-25 - sometimes overpowered. Smooth waist high waves outside. Over a dozen kiters on the water by the time I left.

Excellent way the end the weekend with the rest of the afternoon free!!!

Sun. Windsurfing snack. Caught the melting wind swell and the last embers of the wind. Glad Jens and Johnny made it in from the middle of the bay.

Virgin session for my new Fanatic Blast. Also my first venture into fall/winter sailing. Spent most of time adjusting to my first rides on a board manufactured post 1996. Also was given the wise advice to "ditch the gloves", thanks Darren. My forearms are still tired, conditioning is required. Nice to meet Darren, Dave, Michael and Tony. I probably got at least one of their names wrong.

Have a good week,
Doug

On and off, a few nice rides and jumps but should have followed Johnny outside. :(
Nice to meet you Doug, hopefully we'll see you out there again soon.

Nice big gear session this morning. 5.8 and 101L was perfect for the first hour and then workable after that. Some nice waves as the tide was coming in for both jumping and riding. Good meeting Jens, Doug, and one other.

Yes, was a sweet session for those of us that ventured to the outside..... 9am to 11am, 5.3/95L. Nice swell, shoulder high/head high sections and full power. I think it must have been past middle of the bay but that's where the wind and swell was. Thanks Darryl for keeping an eye on me as I was doing solo reconnaissance. Took me half hour to slog back to shore in the wind shadow at the end.
