Yep, got some windsurf action at Acadia. Was doubtful but decided to give it a go and it worked out and wind built. When tide got low, switched to kiting with Alton. Nice day.

At Locarno, a 4.7 was a bit big for about 3 hours this morning. 25 to 30ish. Water was the usual Locarno swell-less chop.

The Jericho sensor is broken.

2 consecutive westerlies - pretty rare. Scored the Acadia sandbar session (exposure to flooding) with Mike. We started overpowered with 9m+surfboard only to quickly downsize to 7m. Nice waves outside but wind ranged from W 22-28. Sometimes under powered on 7m and sometimes overpowered on 7m especially by noon. Otherwise, it was fun in the sun.

I am going to guess they are at work.

I remember back in the day (when I used to windsurf) there were a ton of windsurfers at Acadia (sometimes fighting for parking). Where have they gone? At least Mike and Johnny are keeping Acadia windsurfing alive.

How does windsurfing at Dundarave compare to Acadia?
Good waves? Shorebreak?

Hey Alton,
I’ve sailed there a few times now. Somehow the wind doesn’t seem to stick around for much longer than 30m windows..my guess is that it hits partially onshore and the mountains behind push back..there’s a nice rigging area and decent launch but I wouldn’t consider it a prime spot..

Thanks. I recall seeing some epic pictures of Dundarave waves (maybe SW) but the shore break looked spooky

Glad you got some sailing in Mike! I managed to do some marking.
