GFS is garbage during summer locally. TAF is legit all year.

Might kite with surfboard first off the low(er) tide if there is some windswell to be had off the Dolphins in the am, otherwise I'll join in the Windfoilfest! Save me a parking spot !

Garry Point Park again - (WNW 15-25) arrived around 6:30am and it felt like 15 knots so waited for about 20 mins and the gusts looked promising so rigged the 5.3 with the 101L FSW. Thought I might be slogging but was powered once out in the channel and overpowered on the far side. Came back in and tuned the sail which lasted a few runs but it was quickly too big to hang onto. Rigged down to my 4.7 and put on a smaller fin which made the difference and the sail actually felt light in my hands for once. Nicely powered after that for the next 2 hours and came off the water around 10:15 as it was starting to get holey at times. As I mentioned in my OSR, there was a lot of chop, especially at low tide but also some nice waist to chest high rollers coming through to link turns on as well as steep faces to jump both port and starboard. The river current was noticeable (~5 knots) but it wasn't raging and there were still waist size rollers to be found the last couple runs. Reg river traffic, there were about 6 or 7 large ships/barges that came through as well as a sand dredge to dodge which is rare for a Sunday. Great day with 3hrs of quality TOW. Tues and Wed this week look promising too.
