11am-5pm. a long session. tide is good for PR, under 12ft

SE summer session, exciting stuff (over 23 knots from Saturna), nice and easy, and no waiting for a ferry, by 5pm sunny (sun in the back)

Seems too good to be true, but will have the car packed for after work regardless.

Today at 3rd was really, really good! :D :D Even with the hike out to the water. IKite Graph doesn’t quite do justice to how windy it was on the outside, definitely closer to the higher end of things.
Cash and I had a boost-fest on 10m and TT and when it ramped up I came in and got my brand-spankin’ new 7m (!)
Really had to work it, probably should have stayed on my 10m but was keen on the novelty factor of a winter SE during mid-July!
Wind stayed up for the latecomers and the the beachcombers (sorry Alton!!)

A day of misery and stress. 2 hrs to get from Nvan to Tsawwassen due to rain traffic and a major accident on Hwy 17.

Pumped up 9m and after a long walk to the water had to walk back with Mike and Chuck to downsize to 7m.

Only got 0.5 hrs in waves before it got too light.

Then I separated from my surfboard in shoulder high waves. Lost!!!!

The good news ... just got a call from Matt Parke who found it at 72nd.

Met him at 72nd only to find him riding my surfboard.

Now I am happy.

Missed all the fun this morning and early afternoon at BB but caught the last 45 mins of wind after work at LHP in PR. 5.3 and my 101L was good with thigh to waist high waves right at the point. 1 person out on a 12 m kite but he was just coming off the water when I launched. Sunny and warm, and stayed until 8pm hoping it would switch to SW and crank but it didn't happen.
