White caps at Cultus Lake (Easterly). One windsurfer on the water already, not planning though.

Correction the wind is SW. I talked to the windsurfer, Mike. His house is right at the beach, and he has been sailing here for over 20 years. He says the wind is usually best in the afternoon when the thermals kick in. Apparently it’s more consistent than Harrison. His biggest sail is 7.0, uses a smaller sail with the foil. He says the boat traffic is not an issue, so it might be worth checking out.

Interesting that the locals choose to put time and effort into Harrison and not Cultus lake. Where's the public launch?

According to him, there’s a public launch spot about 300m South of the Main Beach. Launching there puts you right in the wind channel, so you don’t need to work upwind.
I’m guessing he is taking about the Culus Lake Marina (image below)
