Good 1.5hr session at Nexen on 9m + surfboard. Gusty with occasional lulls until I was yarded in the SW 10-40 madness at 2pm. Had to eject to keep safely away from a barge downwind and east of the pier. Self rescued down the channel and landed on Newport beach.

Good kiter turn out (about 20 majority locals). Paid a visit to the windsurfing area only to find Igor, Pete, Criag and Shawn ... where were all the other windsurfers?

Pretty awesome to score 5 consecutive weekend sessions :D :D :D :D :D

Had to work Sat.
Foiled off a West Van beach today into 4 ft swell at 20 knt s. Ate a fair bit of salt.
Incredible conditions and no kiters.
Plus no drive.
All best

Scored another 2 hrs at Nexen on 9m+surfboard in steady SW 25. Fun riding with Jack at the Spit. Good kiter turn out - 10 when I left.

Scored 2 hours also from 3pm to 5pm out of Nexen. Had to go to the Spit to catch the best wind as the bay was not entirely filled. There was more west than sw in the wind. This was my first session since last november. Have been working like a slave at work lately but made good money. About 280 hours of OT in 2 months and a half.
Happy to sail with Francois who offered me a fleece as I forgot mine at home. I'm all smile and have not forgotten how to sail believe it or not! :D :D :D :D

Hey Alex may I ask where you usually go to kite in West Van ? I live in North Van and would love to get out without having to go to Jericho or Squamish on a weekday if possible. Been considering purchasing a foil board (if it'd open up the opportunity to kite locally). I appreciate any advice!

Hey Alex, you wind foil - not kite foil. Correct?

where you wind foil and windsurf, does it have enough room to launch a kite?
