Just another quick note on the wx while I’m waiting for the wind at Nicola.......
I was just looking at the wx models and the warm front on the east side of the low has just moved through the Lower Mainland. The cold front is on its way now and the surface low continues to deepen as it spins up. The cold front is where the winds will really go nuclear this afternoon. NWWS expects gusts to approach 70mph for Bellingham and other areas exposed to the SE-SSE. With the pressure as low as it is and still falling it’ll be violent once that low begins to fill from the SSE. Enjoy the liquid smoke on the water this afternoon.......it should be insane!!
Looking ahead, Sunday morning is showing some serious potential for another Boundary Bay high wind session. There’s another big low pressure storm moving towards us in the eastern Pacific. Timing between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon is still a bit grey but it looks very windy again.
