Does anyone know if the current forest fire smoke is affecting the wind at Nitinat?
The temperature differential between Ucluelet and Port Alberni looks good for the next while. Also, has anyone been to China Creek in Port Alberni lately?
Does anyone want to carpool from Vancouver? I have room for one.

Today is much better than the past few days as the smoke has switched back to heading east and is now over AB and Sask.

But those winds could change quickly and the smoke would come back.

There's a wind meter at Nitinat village. It has historical data as well.

Yes it's windy there. Our friends sailed 4.8 yesterday. But the wind comes late at 3pm, not 10am as usually.
