Jericho is lifeguarded and closed to kiting in the summer. Dog Beach and West to Acadia are open but are tide-dependent.

What time do the lifeguards arrive in the morning? Just wondering if the wind is early if it would be possible to get a session from sb west instead of the terrible launch at dog beach

Glimpse. Caught a glimpse of Mike out on the water as I arrived in the Acadia parking lot about 5:30 am. He looked powered so rigged 4.5/92 after checking his sail bag. Caught the last half of the power hour. Fun ramps in both directions but hard to stay even with the beach. Launched at Upper Acadia and exited in the cove. Short lived but took the edge off not being at Long Beach this weekend.
