Blackie's Spit is showing 8-12 knots which is actually quite high for that wind station. It rarely shows above "calm". Pure north.

Watch for boat traffic there.

I think I'm just going to hit Jericho and foil now instead of waiting for this NE to show up.

Too gusty for my bike. Where's my kite?
Well I hope the wind here reaches the water there so you folKS could get some.

I got out at Jericho with 12m and foil board from 2:30 'till 4:00.

It was quite light, not even enough power to ride toeside downwind sadly.

One other kiter (Alan) out on 15m + foil.

A few poleboarders sloggin' and one polefoilboarder getting some rides in.

Had a full on 5.5-6.5 kind of day on the south side of bham bay. My first time at post point and I'll be back for sure.
Unfortunately I brought light wind gear and just kind of sucked it up with a 6.4/130L.

Good to know. I didn't realize you could sail there on a NE, but that makes sense and in some ways it might be safer (sideon) than SE (sideshore to side-off). Do you know what the tide was doing and did you notice much current? Did you launch from the park or walk the tracks up to the point proper?

Launched from the park but the wind line was out far enough it was a fairly long slog. Tide was high going low and didn't notice any current, lots of debris though.
Waves definitely not as orderly as you get in a SE.
