White rock is less windy and more gusty on a SE as the wind is coming off the land. Water is short fetch chop mixed with the stormy chop wrapping so generally disorganized.

3rd is better in all respects other than when a strong SW switch is forecasted (rare) and it does not die instead (rarer).

But unicorns exist a few times a year.

Also NW can be very good when the thermal pulls it sideshore. Strong NW in fall often just blow over the bluff and end up gusty side off (no fun, bring your passport)

Windsurfing. Still learning though.
Thanks for the replies!
Sounds like 3rd Ave is a better choice. Hope to see you guys there!

Windsurfers usually launch from Centennial Beach Park (not 3rd Ave where kiters launch). Beware that Wednesday is likely to be VERY windy (eg. 30 kts) so you may need a 3.6 sail and small 80L board.

Thanks for the heads up! Unfortunately my smallest sail size is 6.5, it worked ok in Squamish when I tensioned it to the max. My only board is 135l Rocket. I still need the extra volume to uphaul.

Best for you to stay home. Your gear will be a death sentence

Would another spot work better? Less windy?

Power goes up by 4x or 8x (energy?) with wind speed. So does fun :)

Hey Pavel, what time were you going to go to Centennial? If you get there before the wind picks up and while the tide is high it might be OK. It's worth checking the place out, fun to see on a big day. Definitely not Squamish.
