I'll be heading down but right now I'm waiting for the wind the switch more SE, it looks east on the webcam at the moment.

If I wasn't at work in my office, I would be heading down this afternoon. For reference, the GSpot estimate is maxing in the Green/Gray (30-35 range). Windguru calls it to peak at 33. Even allowing for freak gusts, this is not anywhere as serious as some days we have had out there, including August 30 2015 when it peaked at 52 (and I was on my 7 m, admittedly holding it in neutral position on the sand, not able to kite until it backed off to the 40s). Should be a good day. Stupid work. I won't see you there.

I'm at work too! Looks like possible white rock session late afternoon? I will monitor this for sure. Otherwise I may have not enough time to get to a friggen beach before it gets dark. Unless I duck out early.

I have sailed easterlies off Erwin Park in West Van. Closer than White Rock. Maybe not as challenging, but very convenient for a quick session if anyone wants to give it a try.
There is a nice rigging area (small Park with grass) and sandy beach.
Google: Erwin Park for location.
Cheers

Where is everybody? conditions look much nicer now (2:00) but there is just one lone windsurfer on the cam

I guess everyone went in to rerig smaller kites but usually you'd still see someone out.

Could barely see the smaller kites earlier. I can't bare to watch. At work with a resting heart rate of around 100bpm.
Calling it soon. Going somewhere. Probably Locust

arrived around 1030 in time when wind pick up SE , first hour manageable on 7.5m but then wind rampup and very punchy wt extreme variable , I screamed in fear a couple times in the outside between 3rd and centennial, nice waves size. around 1215 wind back down as the waves, then come back as the waves, then back down, then stabilise SE for 7m but left after 1300 as I was poop from the scary power, and stoke.
