Here in Bayview it's looking like the season opener for decent SE winds on Sunday. Hopefully 20-30 most of the afternoon.
Perhaps some more flat water inclined people from up north would want to join in?

Pretty much flat water with a side-off launch. Not a place for people who struggle to stay upwind.
But it's very local to me and an otherwise accessible kind of spot.

Bayview state park near Burlington. It's south of Bellingham and near the popular kiting spot known as Hunter.

Boundary Bay looks interesting. Beware - chance of clocking SW in the afternoon. Locust would be the safer bet. Too bad I have another commitment Sunday.

Thinking of trying Centennial Beach for the first time tomorrow what does "chance of clocking SW in the afternoon" mean exactly?

It means when you are out on the water the wind can slowly change direction and all of a sudden you are dealing with offshore wind. If you have a malfunction or even if the wind drops off you are not going to get blown back to the beach. You will get blown out into the bay.

I am gearing up for a Locust blast. Hopefully it materializes. Nice thing about Locust is if it clocks SW you still get blown back to shore.

Means pray to Jeebus to rescue your soul.

It would be a long swim back to shore.
