It's the usual story, dog beach is light gusty and swirly and would be a struggle to launch, all the wind seems to be at Jericho and kits.

Hi guys, I'm new here.
I was out at Kits beach today, windsurfing from 11-1 Sailed a few times from Kits to English Bay Beach/Stanley Park.
It felt around 12knts on the water.

Hmm. Sounds slightly possible but unlikely. If Jericho/Kits may be doable, any tips on the best launch spot to check out?

Lifeguards are off duty at 8;30, then you pretty much go anywhere I think, as long as there's still wind.

18g24 at JSCA.
17g20 at RVYC.

Meanwhile only 14 knots at YVR.

TAF is calling for the wind to die at 11 PM, so there is a chance for at 8:30-10:00 session.

Just scored a decent 30 minutes at kits dog beach on my 12m. Dans still out on his well powered. I would have stayed out but ran out of time. Come on down, the water is warm.

Did you launch on the grass by the Maritime Museum or down on the sand with all the hounds jumping all over your kite?

Launched on the grass, pretty much where my kite is in the picture. The wind is steady so walking it to the water was fine, just a little gusty right between the 2 trees.
