WindGuru and G-Spot forecast westerly returning at Wed noon. Sandbar at Acadia too.

Too bad I'm in transit to Onterrible. Enjoy the Acadia waves without me

Just got to work and it's still blowing good at the airport. Should be good for a few hours.

The flights are still going so you should be ok Alton.

I'm just getting the courage to face the now 10 degree air and water after last nights 20 degree air and water.

Think I'll break the winter suit out again.

Showed up at 7:30 at SB West Concession to 14 knots so I suited and rigged. By the time I was done pumping the wind was dead calm. Stood around for 15 min chatting with Shane then decided to head up to Acadia.

12 knots when I arrived at Acadia so I pumped up on the patch of sand on the beach so I could drift launch over the sandbar. By the time I was ready it was again dead calm.

Hung out on the Acadia sandbar with Lucas for an hour watching the wind line tease in closer. Finally around 9:45 it came in close enough to get our kites in the air.

12m + skim for me, wind was very up and down. Nice waves out at Tower Beach. I went all the way to the 2nd tower but it got pretty fluky then. After a couple hours of boosting in the waves I got bored with the up and down wind so I headed down to the shallows.

Pleased to find much more steady wind down there, and very nice wind/wave angle small ramps for aerial shovits and much warmer water. Rode until 1:00 as the Acadia sandbar was going under.

Windsurfed at Garry Point Park in Steveston. Arrived around noon to 25 knots + and low tide so the river was raging with some Gorge like swell rolling through. Rigged 4.7 and took out the 101L and had about 30 mins of solid well powered conditions. Found a few chest to shoulder high rollers coming through and got a couple turns on each one but the wind started backing off and eventually dropped below 20 knots. Left at 1:30 as it seemed to be dropping away.
