Tuesday evening is looking good for windsurfers.

Tide looks too high for a safe kite launch at Dog Beach. Any ideas? Maybe I'll try Ambleside.

White Rock is another option ... but could be a long drive to get skunked.

A-side might work,
FYI there is "Log Removal" clean up on the beach until the 28-May,
which looks clean enough for me to launch and I saw no lifeguards there yet...

Hey Gabor - are you planning to kite at Ambleside Tuesday evening? Some company would be nice.

Hey Alton,
yes I am planning to check it out,
hopefully the wind will arrive before dark.
I also noticed the Holly cam is not updating,
will have to rely on the sensors, and OSRs

Awesome. Got to catch a flight early Wed morning so staying closer to home would be perfect.

Hey Alton I will be at Ambleside on Tuesday evening too unless launch is workable at Dog. Doesn't that little beach work at Dog work on any tide though? Has to be super strong wind either W or SW for it to get into A-side.

I too would prefer Dog Beach. The tide (and challenge launching) depends on what time the wind arrives.

Can anyone remember at what tide we can safely launch a kite at Dog Beach without hitting the trees?

Try WB if Acadia has no space to launch.ambleside has opposing tide and will have waves half the size. WB at 11 ft tide will have nice surf 100 meters out too.

You can launch at any tide if you use the sandy beach, trouble is your kite will get destroyed by the rowdy dogs running amok.

You can see pics of Dog Beach at 1.7m (the shelf), 2.4m (waist deep), 3.4m (swimming), here https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0l5oqs3qG9JUbD
