I was way powered with my 4.0 sail/ 90L board and my usual 6m kite. Today turned out to be a lot better than yesterday and Friday afternoon. It didn't feel gusty/lully at all to me. Almost close to nuking.

If you can make it today, WindGuru suggests SW 25-30 conditions

Best day at Nexen so far this season for me. Pleasant 4.5/85 litre 1st session, with nice waves and steadiest wind over by Shannon Falls. Late lunch then back out on the 4.5 in stronger wind and choppier water. Joined by Richard and Johnny.
Tide was rushing back in to create the chop I think. Still fun but much more work during the second session. Most people were on 4.2 when I wrapped up around 330. Nice to finally catch a "long and strong" day at Squamish this season!

Dear Penthouse,
I've been reading your letter's for years and up until today never believed them to be true. I was greated at nexen by a wet and unusually windy end of the Howe sound on my way home from work this afternoon. My average 430 joystick immediately became erect. I entered the wetness of the sound with my 4.8 hucker wagging in the stimulating pulses of the blowing air and then set about taming the body of water with the Roberts bump and jump playfully spanking across the chop. The climax of the day was a frothey pint of lager at the Brew Pub.

1.5 hrs on 9m+TT this afternoon. Felt steady at noon with full depower but strangely boosting lacked grunt when boosting near the honey hole. Difficult to get dialed in so only scored a few big lofty jumps. Wind approached SW 30 but more gusty - 7m would have been better but called it quits instead.

Looks like Saturday and Sunday for the long weekend. Monday might be good for "family commitments" due to clouds and precipitation.

Kiteclash 2017 June 30 - July 3 ... so it will be more crowded than usual

In previous kiteclashes, there's been plenty of room on the spit. It's mostly spectators near the bleachers.

Most people go somewhere else for the long weekend.

Parking will be crowded though.
