2.5 hr? With a graph like that should be 5 hr!

Jealous I missed out today.

2 hr traffic delay cut into my TOW (and missed the early butter smooth water). After 5pm a 12m would have been better for boosting but I called it quits instead.

Yet another fantastic 3.5 hours of boosting on 9m+TT. Lighter than yesterday so confined to the river and butter smooth water ... no complaints. Got light after 3pm so switched to 12m but kind of anti-climatic so called it quits at 5pm.

Slow start at noon with SW 16-18 confined to the river and river mouth. Gradually ramped up to SW 22 g 25 by 2pm - overpowered on 12m. Smoooooth water and strong current made for excellent boosting conditions.

After 2pm switched to 9m but drifted down wind and self-rescued back to the Spit road. Upside - scored some beer from sympathic kiter buddies parked on the Spit road :D :D :D

Odd that the ikite sensor was so different than the SWS, which one told the real story?

Both graphs look very similar but SWS shows smoother averaging.

However, the "real story" really depends where you were riding. For me, the river "felt" stronger than both graphs and the honey hole "felt" weaker than both graphs.

iKitesurf/iWindsurf graph appears gustier after 3:30pm which may explain why I struggled to keeping upwind on 9m (and eventually self-rescued to the Spit road). It actually felt more holey than gusty.
