YVR is still 20 knots so maybe Iona, Garry Point, or the Ferry Terminal.

Ferry terminal.
Jerry and Bandito here. Not sure what wind speed is. Guesssing 20kt. Sun just came out. Tide is decent.

Hoping for day 3 I went down to Gulf Rd to check it out but it was light near the shore and the waves weren't setting up well so I went down to Lighthouse Park. No better there, actually worse, more wind but the current was crazy, looked like a river flowing around the point, waves were disorganized with some crazy chop from the current. 100's of birds on the water though, always some nice wild life out there so it turned into a nice walk.

Disappointed with light wind at Spanish Banks at 7am so moved to Iona Beach.

Waited 5 minutes for the park rangers to leave then Lucas on 12m got 1 hour in W 18-20. I was slow to rig and only got the tail end (0.5 hrs) on 12m+surfboard. Pleasantly surprised with waves in 4.5m tide. Knee to waist high with clean lines. Sharp ramps outbound like Boundary Bay but wave spacing somewhere between White Rock and Boundary Bay.

Went to check out Ferry Terminal only to find Bandito, Jerry, Faceplant and Cash (all on 12m) ending their 2 hour session in WNW 18-20.

May have to adapt to Iona for NW, NNW even West. Strait winds/waves barely get into WB.

For windsurfing, you'll need 11ft tide and higher, on the safe side, to start from beach (and avoid the smelly mud, ~ 50 meters)

I like the waves closer to jetty, cleaner waves, nice spacing, it's shallow too. No pink eye/issue on any sessions.

+ if you have the guts, wait for an 8ft tide (on a strong NW) and head to the tip of the jetty, you'll find a nice surf break.
