Looks like it's picking up down south, on my way to 3rd.

Had a short session on 12m + foil board from 9:30-10:00 followed by a relaxing swim from 10:00-11:00.

The local residents were really worried about me too, a guy who was out kayaking came by to check on me and another guy suited up and paddled out on his SUP to save me even though I was giving the "one hand on head" okay sign to the beach goers.

The SUP guy really wanted me to ditch my kit and get a ride in with him but I told him I was fine and if I wanted to ditch my kit I could swim in almost as fast as tandem SUP'ing.

I always dress for the water temp, not the air temp so I was toasty warm.

Around 11:30 Adam showed up with almost the same setup. We stood around until about 11:45 and then the wind picked back up so we both headed out. By 12:30 the wind was decent enough to give my SB a try so I headed in to swap and the wind tanked hard right as I got to shore and Adam had a small swim followed by a long wade.

Freezing cold 6 degree water but balmy air temps.

Always good to get out on the water.

OSR 3rd. 16 knots easterly, low tide and raining. I'm here the the tunnel is a mess as usual so I will pump my 12m and make the most of it. The forecast looms like it will get stronger so fingers crossed.

Too much east in white rock, offshore. Going to wait a few and hope it switches more south.

Scored a good session at 3rd ave 4:00-6:00. Where was everyone? Only 4 of us out in good 12m conditions.
