As yesterday was a total beat down and I felt like I had forgotten to sail today felt great on the 3.8 Was on the water by 4 but after my first reach I re-rigged to a 3.8 felt like it was going nuclear, crazy ominous ski and howling wind but after a bit it came down and the 3.8 was perfect. The wind seemed to shift to ESE for a while and some nice waves started to set up at third. Things started getting really fun then the wind got weird with some big holes. Struggled for a bit then I packed it in but just as I was leaving it cracked again. Hope Dave and Kato had a good one.

Looks like the storm is subsiding - phew. In fact, Tsawwassen was windier Friday afternoon.

Bam, bam, bam. Full intended to take a 'rest day' but got the call out and the webcam looked solid, but not crazy. Maybe some mid-sized sailing would be fun. Wind ramped up quickly and looked to be cranking upon arrival. Prepared for beat down part 2. Rigged small gear (3.4/74) and rode the backside of the mountain of wind. Sized up one board and sail (4.0/92) and it teased ESE but only switched SE in the last half hour before dark while derigging. Air felt cool ont the hands but warmed up when it started to spin. Water started chunky and smoothed some too. Kept the streak alive (third day in a row at Centennial).

Check out BWD Session Logs

Sounds like a real disaster at Columbia Beach. Fortunately everyone made it back to shore.

Adrien - Good you cancelled your CB trip

Hopefully everybody is ok and the kiters in question didn't damage anybody's property. Pissing off the local residents is one of the best ways to get kiting banned at 3rd.

Tony's right. Recall that kiteboarding is banned at Centennial Beach from a past serious incident. We don't want that to happen at 3rd Ave.

Please exercise caution today.
