Boundary bay sensor

I've been out with injury all summer but ready to ease back. This may have been discussed but I noticed the boundary bay sensor is removed due to the building it was on being slated for demo. Any word on a replacement? I've kept my iwindsurf account since I've wanted max intel if I'm taking a day off work. Not sure if it's worth it without this sensor.

I spoke with them several weeks ago and they are looking for a new location for the sensor. This sensor is my main reason for subscribing to their service and if it's not replaced soon I will cancel my subscription. Maybe give them a call and express the same thought.

Hey Mike sorry to hear about your injury but it's good that you are ready to get back out again. Both Dave and I wrote iwindsurf a while ago and said the same thing that it was basically the only reason we have the account. Everyone should do the same and they might get on it quicker. Dave told them about the Centennial Beach Cafe being the best option and I think they are looking into it but more pressure would help.
Hope to see you on the water today but not having the sensor is a drag. It looks like the wind is picking up now though.

I'm just getting back up to speed so this may be old news. I sent a query to windsurf and below is the reply:

We apologize for any inconvenience.

We do plan on replacing the station somewhere in the same area. Our Sensor Maintenance team is currently following some leads on where we could place the new station.

Again we apologize for any inconvenience.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We would be more than happy to help.

I emailed them and mentioned myself and multiple other friends are going to be cancelling our subscriptions if the station isn't replaced soon as its the main reason we pay for iKite.

They responded:
I'm very sorry for the inconvenience and we can sympathize with you and your friends in regards to this station being removed. Our maintenance team is addressing potential replacement locations for the weather station. It needs a suitable new home after the building it was previously mounted to was demolished.

Hopefully if enough people inquire they will get it done soon!

Thanks GB! IWindsurf/iKitesurf/WeatherFlow report a senor in Point Roberts too, but from what I have seen it seems to under report on SW-SE. "Data courtesy of a private weather station via Weather Underground. Please read and understand the disclaimer before using this information." The funny part is it is also a WU sensor, but looks like a different location (as it is reporting different direction and speed right now).

if you are into that kind of thing ... here is the real-time to Sandy Point.

if you see Sandy Point spike SE, then BB wind is about 30 minutes away.

Most of us probably get our Sandy Pt. wind from here:

There has been a Davis Weather station in PR for ages but I've never found it's data worth much:

CZBB sensor is by far the best thing to use while WeatherFlow fixes the BB sensor.
