Didn't earn back the face value of my SWS 'dog tag' in 2016 (three sessions short) ~

Started in strong and steady SW 25 on 9m+TT. Nice floaty jumps for 30 min until wind became punchy and water choppy. Switched to surfboard to ride through lulls. Funny how boosting on a twin tip is so different from boosting a surfboard - takes some time to adjust.

Called it quits after 2.5 hours when lulls got big. Busy day at the Spit.

After the carpet roll up and BBQ all volunteers left except a couple of us. By 2pm we were on the water with 10m and 12m kites. Steady SW 16-22 with the usual chop and sunny breaks. Lots of good boosting for 2 hours. With new arrivals there were only 6 kiters and 1 windsurfer.

Some nice weather/wind today so far... Looks kiteable and wondering if you guys think Squamish might be good tmrw also? I'll aim to be there mid-late afternoon tmrw if so.

Thanks,
Marc

Next 3 days (Wed, Thu, Fri) look kiteable. Take your big kites and be prepared for a late start.

Turned out to be an amazing session yesterday! Awesome clean wind. Perfect for practicing jumps with my 13m. Board drag to shore as wind plummeted near end of my session, but all was good. :D

Only expecting 12m condition. Instead got 9m :D :D :D - full depower could've been on 7m.

Over 2.5 hours of steady SW 25 on 9m+surfboard. Excellent boosting conditions. Nice little wavelets down by Nexen for lots of toeside hits. Fun stalking Ross (S-turns and boosting). Good turn out (12 kiters / 0 windsurfers).

Come on out to Squamish tomorrow (Fri) if you can. It may be the last good session before "end of days". Friday's forecasts looks as good (maybe better) than today's.

Good session out of Nexen today. 5.7/ 110 litre was just right once the wind picked up after 230'ish. Nicest conditions were out at the cliffs but even the Nexen bay was filled in by about 3pm. Feels like fall is in the air though.
ps - no dead fish floating around yet this year, right Lubo?
