Once again pleasantly surprised. With the mediocre forecast, I was only expecting 12m conditions. Today Squamish delivered super steady SW 20-25. Started with 12m + surfboard fully depowered for some lofty jumps. Switched to 9m for faster turns and higher jumps. Over 3 hrs of boosting fun until 5:30pm when I was totally drained.

Wed and Thu should be even better :D :D :D

Yet another excellent day at Squamish. Steady SW 20-25+. Started with 9m+surfboard in smooth water then switched to 7m when it ramped up and became choppy. Fun boosting and stalking Dave/C36 and Michael (windsurfing between the Spit and Nexen). Favorite spot were the Nexen waves. Got crowded as people are squeezing in the last days of SWS rescue.

More Thursday :D :D :D

The best day I've had at Squamish this season.

Solid. Wasn`t too pleased to get stopped on the access road to the spit by the film crew, but enjoyed hearing the question, "Are you going windsurfing?" Me: "Yes. Yes I am." Took to the water just after 1 pm and caught the last of the flat water to the lee of the sandbar. Chop quickly built on the freshening wind, but some flat water remained deep in the river, but there was some funky gusts on the west side of the river. Outside the river the wind was solid shore to shore, but a little lighter down at Nexen when M, Alton and I were there. Nice to see and speak with a few people I hadn't seen in a while (funny so late in the season). Amazing to feel the difference in temp of the two waters on my bare feet - dark blue water in the sound was warm and the grey water in the river was cold. It felt like summer was rebounding today!

Fun day! Thanks to Dave for talking me into going today. Great to see everyone again, it's been a while and I'm feeling it now.

Last day of SWS was a great one. Early start before noon - smooth and steady SW 20 for 1.5 hrs perfect for 9m+surfboard with plenty of boosting.Took a coffee break when chop started forming. Good thing I did. When I returned wind ramped up to SW 25 gusting 30 perfect for 7m. Oddly wind was much stronger down in Nexen and waves were super fun for toe side hits and lofty boosting. Honey hole got crowded with the late afternoon crowd so called it quits after 3 hr TOW.

First day without SWS. Early start was good (not as good as yesterday) steady SW 18-22 perfect for 9m+surfboard. Lots of jumps at the river mouth. Towards the second hour gusty conditions yanked me off my surfboard a couple of times. Called it quits when rain arrived.

Yup, definitely not the greatest summer for kiting at the spit.
Still had a blast though!
