Weird. Looked pretty solid when I first arrived and Richi said it was actually steadier than he was expecting. Rigged 4.5/92 in the diminishing wind (dark clouds rolling in) and caught the back side of the first hump of the camel. Came in and rigged bigger (5.3/115) and that helped bridge the valley, but wind still had lots of torque, but not much horsepower. Sailed up to the river and saw AG and Massimo then returned back to join the Nexen crew just as the second hump of the camel showed up. Switched back to the small gear for the last stint. Nicolas mentioned early on that there was a lot of south in the wind and he was right – jumps could be had to port at Nexen. There was a little bit of everything – sun, rain, rain squalls, bullet rain, sheets of rain. Strange session.
