Southerly Wednesday

An interesting pattern just popped up on the latest 72 hour surface chart. Keep an eye out for 15-25mph southerly winds at Locust this Wednesday. Squamish has some potential for a big day if the southerly push fills in locally.

Cheers,

Chris

I'm heading up for Wednesday. Dunno if I'll be at Nexan or the Spit. Environment Canada forecast favours Wednesday.

Hey Michael,

Just looking at the 500 and 850mb level charts showing the wind and pressures. It looked like the trough of thermal low pressure was going to shift inland in a more northerly direction two days ago. This would have given us a nice southerly push. I see it's now on the more classic NE-E track which should fire up JWSP and Nicola late in the afternoon tomorrow and possibly Squamish too.

Cheers,

Chris
