Chris, that woke you up. I just looked at graph and it seemed there was a respite from the wind early morning but already 25knots (JDF is feared by sailboats).

aside:
Send photos of your sailing at Osoyoos. In a few years we'll all be there with you. Falling interest rates (2.24% for 2 year fixed) has not helped the real estate market here (from 7% 16 years ago), and the new Massey Tunnel (toll) in 5 years will speed the exodus. Vancouver(West) parks are mostly empty, which is great for playing tennis/basketball nowadays. ;) Surfing-wise, all good, taking a break.

Hey GB,

I'm on the South Thompson River between Kamloops and Chase. We head to either Nicola, Kamloops Lake (Tobiano) or Stump Lake for local wind. Our house prices are still pretty good compared to the Lower Mainland. I sure do miss the winter sailing though :(

I hope you were kidding when you mentioned glassy conditions with waves only and no wind for JWSP late last night ;) It sure looked like a great windy setup to me. Hopefully, the guys that were talking about kiting left early and are enjoying the gale force westerlies and overhead waves.

I'm off flyfishing today :D

Chris, sorry (I was close though); post some fly-fishing/nature photos.
Its' all the same for surfing 10-40 knots, people want glassy but best waves are in chaotic conditions, that will motivate people, if any, to drive there, swear at me, and then find a cove to have a great time.

Only regret this winter was failing to take video of 1001 steps last month when it was cranking, perfectly spaced waves 200 meters out... next time.

Fun in the sun at White Rock. Up and down SW 12-20 from 8am-1pm on 9m. About 10 kiters mostly on 12m including Dan, Patrick, Lorne, Jerry, Clay, Rob, Steve, Brian ... small but super smooth waves.

Great way to end the session over beers on the Sandpipers patio baking in the sun with Lorne, Jerry and Clay ... Cheers!

Ambleside was on and off had a good 2 hours there with 11m and surfboard. The hoovercraft came over for the sunking sailboat...too much excitement!
