Scored about 1.5 hours at the terminal. Kited the north side for some flat water :D Wind was about 20-25 gusting 30. Launched in the parking lot on the south side and walked across the road. Super fun!!

Walking over the ferry causeway with a kite is super sketch, the limit there is 80 km/h but people do 100. Don't mess up access, just launch on the grass by the hydro station if you are going on the North side.

Dude, if you are going to do stupid, stupid stuff like that I would suggest not writing/posting on this forum about it. Traffic, including some pretty big trucks, rip along the causeway and I can guarantee you kiting access will get shut down if the BC ferries or RCMP see us humping across the hwy with your kite in the air.

Don't be that guy (or the guy who will eventually try and jump the causeway a la Jesse Richmond

What Slappy Said

BTW Bbay was quite a bit of fun 12-2pm, only four or five of us out in a falling tide. Fun little waves (only 2-3ft) sure made for some fun rides up by the Mile Marker! 9m kite for me with plenty of juice, was wishing for my surfboard but happy for the TT for the shallows :D

Ya never thought about how stupid that was. Sorry. I waited for a point when there wasn't a car in sight but yeah sorry. Don't want to jeopardize access at spots.

Bump and jump. Yet another early morning power hour (heavy on the hour, light on the power). Fun to get out and there was the odd swell that made it fun for jumping and pushing around. As George's report from Locust confirmed, in hindsight should have gone to Locust, but the 30 mph dawn graph peak at CNL held to much pull.

Took a quick 'look-see' at Gabriel's Beach (shorebreak on high tide) and Lighthouse Park (rolling swell on ebbing tide) looking for SUP waves, but not much on offer.
