Very powerful low and cold front setting up for Wednesday afternoon / evening. There are already special weather statement regarding a wind event being posted by NWWS for this time period. Expect Locust to ramp up to SE 35-50mph by mid afternoon through dark. I'm not sure if the wind will work its way up to Centennial in time. Definitely worth watching for the after work / afternoon crowd...........this looks like a big one

Watch Locust for an afternoon switch to SE and potential 2-3 hour session in strengthening SE winds. 3rd might ramp up but most likely onshore winds. The very end of the causeway at the Ferry Terminal usually produces stronger winds when it's dead onshore at 3rd. Sideshore wind and crystal clear water too :D Looks like it's going to go full on nuts overnight into the early am hours tomorrow. Be packed and ready to hit it first light........this one is the real deal

Where was everybody? I was out at 3rd at 4:00 on my own on my 9m well powered. Cash showed up shortly after, then 1 more guy. By 5:30 it was NE and gusty, I was well over powered and called it a day.

Those 40+ knot gusts were what persuaded me to get in. I was being lifted off the ground with my 9m fully depowered.

Here's the other guy. ... nice to meet you roxstock. Had a short session, good to get in the water apres work. I should have stayed out a little longer but those big gusts worried me...especially with potential for more. Got soaked after....just pissing down. Good luck tomorrow. Play safe!
