Blowing good. Just saw first kite on web cam.
Locust is easier for me and closer, but wouldn't mind a change of scenery and today seems like a pretty great day!

Only had until early afternoon to try to catch some wind today so I headed to Point Roberts and got on the water around 10:40 am. It was directly side shore (E wind) and there were some small waves wrapping in and it looked windier than Sunday. Rigged my 4.7 and took out the 101L for a few runs and came back in for the 73L after about 30 minutes as it continued to build. Some good port ramps for jumping early on but with the tide dropping and the wind backing off a bit, it smoothed out. Switched to my 101L again as the lulls were not fun on the small board and it gradually edged back up and started to swing ESE around noon. Switched back to the 73L when it swung SE and jumped up 10 knots so my 4.7 was getting to be a handful but I didn't have enough time to rig down so I hung on even after it started nuking. The waves jumped in size really quickly once it went SE and started getting some nice rollers and breaking faces coming through. Took a few more survival runs until I just couldn't hold it down anymore. Flew past George (surfing) at full speed with my board completely sideways as it spun out and I couldn't get the fin to bite in again. With that, I pointed it in and called it a day. I wish it would have clocked earlier to have rigged down to the 3.7 and spent some time out in the building waves - next time. PR - 2, me 0.

Pr delivered head high. Only way to get to those waves was hugging the jetty to the first break... and then 1shot to get this 2.5Meter+wall with the sweetest right , got 3 of them. 4th one did spit me out; by then switched to conserve energy, as duck diving these walls was not working, easy breast stroke works for me, awkward to see but let's me rest ( & be able paddle for 10 minutes straight if needed), got some more chest high waves later on.
George was like a 10 year old kid in a candy store. Ulu in the water got the jetty but later on.
Dave had a great time, it was a little rough. The key was to wait 1 hour for surf and wind to decrease by 3pm. We will get glassy sessions soon, you'll have fun then.

Took the afternoon shift at 3rd Avenue. Epic crazy ass conditions SSE 30-40 on 7m+ surfboard. Started inching my way upwind in survival mode to catch the tail end of head high waves the mile marker. After all the wind surfers and kiters went down wind I was left with choppy disorganized waves for the rest of the session.

Good day enjoyed by a dozen kiters and about 6 windsurfers. However I preferred the waves on Sunday.

I posted I was going to rig 5.3 but then the wind clocked SE and the wind kicked in. Went 4.5 for about 15 minutes but where the _ did that wind come from? Retreated to 3.7 and still near overpowered. Seems 3.7 is becoming go to sail. Huge pay attention waves for centennial - up to a bit over head. Best rides were usually down one wave then second turn on another.

Great day, big steep waves. Darrell with the duck gybes, and high speed passes, looked great. Gabriel riding a wave every time I looked his way. Me, Dave and Ulu might have to step up our game in these conditions, haha. It was challenging, but a lot of fun. Rest up for Friday, and give 'er! See you guys in the waves.
