Locust looks like it will be windy, but I don't know if the tides will work.

The window for good wind has been delayed until 1pm which gives us little margin before tide goes too high at 2pm.

I don't think I'll risk it today.

High tide is 7.5 feet. What is the deal with the launch. Sailing site info says knee deep water at beach. we should be able to utilize the floating self launch line? I've never been there during high tide. Wife is running half marathon today I am heading down after probably by 1:30.

Wicked session at Locust. Oh My God.
No wind at all upon my arrival around 1:30. Within 30 minutes the bay had filled in and it was intense. I quickly deflated my 9M and pumped up 7M. I saw a guy body dragging in with a 9M and he was skipping across the water like he was being towed behind a speed boat!
The waves were awesome, the launch was a bit sketchy but everyone helped each other out. Just had to wade out into waist deep water to get kite up and not hit trees. Some of the gusts were insane out there. I realized I need to grow some balls. Pretty reluctant to really pull the trigger and boost. With my woo, my biggest jump was just shy of 24 feet. I thought I was at 30 for sure. I guess I need to grow a new set.
I need to learn how to slow myself down on bigger jumps. One time I had so much down wind speed when my board hit the water it just blew off my feet and i face planted hard. I think I need to direct the kite hard in opposite direction while descending then dive it in the direction I want to ride. I'm thinking this will slow down my speed during landing.
