OSR 3rd ave. about 15 knots SSE. One guy out on a 12m and tons of whitecaps out in the bay. I'm guessing it will be blowing good pretty soon. Doesn't feel like the 10 deg my car was reading.

It's filled in all the way to the beach now, 20-25 knots, I'm pumping my 10m.

I like your OSR David. Wish I could've got free to come check it out. Sounds crazy. Hope you scored some epic wind blasters.

Roller coaster ride at 3rd Ave today - up and down shifty SSE to SSW. Best wind was from 1-2pm but timing was everything. Slight overpowered on 9m + surfboard so switched to 7m after 15 minutes - stupid move. After retrieving and pumping my 7m it tanked leaving several kiters swimming.

Some guys like Mark/Roxstock scored the best timing. Mike and Lubo scored decent windsurfing session.

Tried Point Roberts near the Marina Jetty (Gabriel's Beach) and rigged my 5.3 and took out the new to me JP FSW 101L. Onshore wind waves from the SSE with the wind around 15 knots, barely enough to get out through the waves. Slogged around from about 1-1:30 PM and then decided to surf instead while waiting for the wind to get stronger.

Took my daughter's (kid's) windsurfing board (BIC) out and caught a few decent rides for about an hour and came in to rest/have lunch around 3ish. Surfed with George and later Gabriel and Dave (C36) showed up. Tried windsurfing again but it was still marginal but just when we were going to head out surfing/SUPing it switched to SSW and picked up to 18 to 20 knots. Got in about a solid 30 minute session and the waves built up to chest and a few shoulder high breaking faces. Lots of Starboard jumping ops and smacked a few lips on port tack heading back across the break zone. The tide was high when I arrived but it dropped about 1.5 m by the time I finished up around 5pm. Dave, Gabriel, and George came off the water around 5:30 as it was getting too dark to see.
Not epic today as the wind just didn't fill in and crank but caught some good rides (surfing & windsurfing) and had a chance to test the JP FSW 101L. I really like the way it turns and rides but the short length and width took a fair bit to get used to. Again, it wasn't epic but a decent day overall. First day surfing in about 3 years and didn't have any wax so had trouble staying on the board. Felt like a kook!
