Michael wrote:It was great. Saw the graph over 25 and went to the beach in a panic. Should have rigged 4.7 like I said in my OSR but went 5.2 instead. Was over powered but it wasn't too bad being on my 80L. Some big swell on the outside and some really nice waves near the beach from the high tide. When I first launch there was some big shore break that caught me off guard but it didn't last long when the tide dropped. Wind switched S near 4 so I packed it in. It was really cold though, I had to come in almost every reach to warm up my hands and there was also a lot of chop in between the inside and outer sets.
Glad you scored!
I saw the graph kick (but missed your OSR) and thought you had left town. The timing was tight for me sans gear in the van and I wasn't keen on a chilly solo session.
Thanks to all for the session reports. Hope it's not too long before we are all out on the water again.
