Not well illustrated by the sensor but White Rock delivered awesome 7m (SW 25-30) at first light. Cash was first on at 7:45am then I followed. Difficult seeing when it's dark but clean breaking SW waves (40' apart) made riding so easy. Some big chest high waves towards the pier. By 9:30am the wind clocked SE which made for some uncomfortably tight ramps for port side jumping but gybes were long and sweet. Eventually switched back and forth between SE and SW. Sunny came out and wind tanked before 11am to end an epic session.
Finishing with big smiles was made even bigger when a duck hunter called to say he found my lost surfboard at 72nd St.
Great turnout with Cash, Jerry, Clay, Joe S, George, Pierre, David Culver, Steve Grider, Chalmers ... over a dozen kiters today.
