Computer models are usually wrong, but when I see past forecast and the forecast bell curve for today there is a peak at 10 am, still strong afterwards but slightly lower. sisters 50-56mph will probably settle at 35-40mph after ... still good (sisters in the 50's is an oddity).
as always my 2 c, but that front coming in... no clue.
I usually like peaks for the surf if anybody wants some swell.
Southern strait looks good though (centennial). I just don't see how we can have a weak Northern strait after 12noon but Southern strait peaking at 5pm; US side probably very windy ... but that's what the forecast is saying ... probably all of them using the same vector graphic logic that an MIT professor cooked up in his lab with different acronyms.
You lost me GB? The forecast models three days ago from the Americans and Canadians were both great for an all day wind event today. The forecast track of the low was also setup perfect for a SE-SSE wind event with potentially higher winds if the centre shifted slightly North which it has
The actuals have been solid since 8am and have built steadily throughout the day. Trust me, there's no MIT vector graphic voodoo going on. It's just a typical winter low pressure system with a typical warm/cold front passage......nothing new and pretty easy to predict 48 hours out
Make sure you get out to Lily Point this Saturday........should be really nice for wind swell!
