3°C is beyond my threshold of pain. Did it once. Never again.

Tsawwassen was 7°C on Monday - very tolerable.

CORRECTION: -1°C is my threshold - Fri Dec 06, 2013

Michael, Chris (MX Chris) and I had to move from Centennial Beach to the Boat Launch to avoid a long cold walk to deeper waters.

ENE 20-25 (2pm - 3:30pm) with small but steep knee high waves were perfect for jumps and tons of fun for some smooth gybes on 5.2/93L (Michael on 4.7/110L). Surprisingly good for a easterly.

Bright sunny sky made up for the -1°C chill. Water temperature and warm wetsuit were very pleasant. However, frozen fingers needed some time to acclimatize. Frozen boom, board deck and heavy ice on sail didn't have any major downsides.

After an hour as the sun and temperature dropped, I instantly lost feeling in my feet and quickly headed back to shore to end the day.

De-rigging icy sails was challenging. Separating the frozen top and bottom mast pieces was accomplished with Michael's hot tea and a tug of war. Could not roll my sail (with a frozen luff) tight enough to fit into the bag so had to de-frost it in a heated car.

Not sure if I could do that again either, the nice sunny day helped though.

Below zero is not so bad, as long as you stay dry :D

On December 29 last year I had a session with Alton and Slappy at 3rd where I only got my booties wet.

Below zero is not so bad, as long as you're on the ski hill.

Haha! True, Tony!

3C is also a great temperature of you happen to be a beer.

That being said, what's all this about more wind from the NE?!?
