Upgraded to a Gale warning for the afternoon now :D Expect Locust, Ebey and Double Bluff to deliver SE-SSE 30-40+ mph winds on Monday. Ebey & Double Bluff will start first around late morning with Locust joining the party around 12 noon.

Very strong SE still on track for Locust and Whidbey from around noon through until dark on Monday. Expect SE 35-45+ mph to hammer Locust, Ebey and Useless tomorrow. Impressive warm front similar to last Friday's nuker at 3rd with the exception of later timing.

Cheers,

Chris

Upgraded........again!

There's a very powerful warm front spinning off a deep low set to cross our waters tomorrow. The winds are projected to be only 5 knots below storm force at SE/S 35G45 knots tomorrow night. By comparison, the models show about 5-7 knots stronger then last Friday's SE day at 3rd. There are high wind watches and warnings issued for 11 counties right now from Blaine to southern Whidbey Island for sustained SE/S winds of 45mph gusting to 60mph for tomorrow night.

The timing looks good tomorrow for Useless Bay / Ebey landing on Whidbey first then Locust shortly after. I would expect the SE winds to start picking up late morning down south and be into the 20-30mph range by 12:00noon. Locust will pickup in the early afternoon. Both places south of the border will continue to build right through until dark.

Your best bet tomorrow is to position yourself at either Locust or Whidbey as the actuals are starting to come up. Both these locations will build and deliver throughout the day. I would be inclined to pull a one nighter in Oak Harbour and position yourself perfectly for both Monday / Tuesday in the most wind. 3rd Avenue and the local beaches will play the waiting game tomorrow between wind and daylight remaining.

Cheers,

Chris

You'll notice the marine forecast has been upgraded every single day since the first post last Friday. SE/S 15-25, 25-35, 30-40, 35-45 :D
