Wow! That was the best (and most civilized) high wind (SE 30-35) session I've ever had - way better than last Thursday's choppy gusty session. Scored 2.5 hours (11:30am-2pm) in steady SE 30-35 on 7m depowered + surfboard. Waist high waves were super smooth (almost glassy) with 40-50 ft spacing - perfect for gybes and toe side rides.

Also enjoyed by Cash (first on at 10:30am), Jerry, George, Luke, Steve Rider, Jaryn ... and David Culver (from Bellingham).

Lots of windsurfers at Centennial like Tony, Dave/C36, Michael, Chuck, Johnny, Maryam/Baby mama, Scott, Ryan, Mike ...

Great day. The lost rig will be down in the northwest corner of the bay, amongst all the goo. Good you're okay.
Great swell, just follow the windsurfers. I have to say, the windsurfing community has really stepped up their game, compared to back in the day. Lots of nice ripping turns, and last Thursday some guy with a yellow sail was just egregiously chucking himself into backloops all day, haha, was good to see.
See you guys tomorrow!

Just realized today I hit 150 days on the water. What better way to hit it than with an epic Boundary Bay session :D :D :D

Just got off the water at third! Epic session! Me and one other guy Andy I think we're absolutely shredding over head waves On 7m and 6m lit. Great session but had to finally stop when couldn't see the wash anymore. He woulda kept going ripping the swell all night!

Lots of fun but it really felt like winter out there today. Even the 3.8 80l was too much in the end. Some big airs, one with a nose first landing, ouch, and some nice wave rides but at times it was too windy to ride them. Great to see everyone out ripping in the waves.
Glad to hear you got your board back Johnny, I'll check tomorrow at low tide to see if it washes up.

I gambled and headed to Jericho after work to see how the NNE was because of fear of driving all the way to 3rd and being over powered on my 7m and to get more time in the daylight, and it paid off. Steady 20 knots side on shore from 3:30 to 4:30 well powered on my 10m. Fairly flat water with some knee high kickers. I rode at the volley ball nets just west of the sailing club and self launched tethered to the volley net post. I've never seen it blow NNE when it's SE at 3rd ave but I liked it.
